Longines 1957 Vintage Calatrava  Dress Watch,Rarer Large Size 36mm x 43mm lug to lug.

A rarer size at 36 mm width & a long lug to lug of 43 mm with its original crown & with it
having an an all dial case design it has a great wrist presence. It was considered large for the era and a rarer size. For reference my wrist is 6 & 3/4 inch.
 
It has a longines Manual wind 12.68ZS in house calibre that has had a full service & overhaul by my trusted watchmaker of over thirty years at a cost of £172.
 
I have paired it with a luxury handmade ZRC calf leather black strap with red leather lining costing £30 new and a new original Longines buckle to add the final touch £22.
 
It is a classic Longines Calatrava from a era when dials were uncluttered & timeless in their elegance from a manufacturer that epitomised that golden era of the fifties.
