Longines Florentine Linen Dial Vintage Gold Watch. Stunning and rare.
 
This Vintage Longines  is a classic from Longines rich past when they were a truly great independent manufacture up there with some of the best that Switzerland had to offer.
 
This is a very rare Longines with a gold cross hatch design to the front of the case.  Its  stunning Charcoal / Grey linen dial that just plays with the light especially against the gold indices. The case shape is another unique aspect of this watch, that Florentine design, curved lugs and crosshatch gold etched into the front of the case.
 
Its has the Longines calibre 342, a beautiful movement  first produced by Longines in 1963. The watch is running perfectly, no beat error strong amplitude .
 
I have yet to come across another like this in all my time collecting. 
It measures 35 mm wide and 38mm lug to lug. Because of its shape it wears relatively large for the era as most cushion or square case designs do. 
 
I have paired it it on a lovely Rios Lamb leather that's super soft and feels perfectly suited to this watch at a cost of £35.
It has a brand new genuine Longines buckle this is not vintage however but is practically identical to the vintage ones.
 
The watch has it all  a stunning unique case, beautiful dial and a great movement. You will be searching a long time to find the same watch. This will make  a unique addition to any vintage watch collectors collection.
