Universal Genève Polerouter 1950's micro-rotor 215 calibre, 36mm larger model. Also known as the Bruce lee as this is the same model once owned by the man himself. Check the link below for the article.
This is just a vintage winner from the twisted lug gold capped capped case in the rarer 36mm size. The stunning crosshair dial with that lovely even patina and gold ribbed rehaute with no date for a perfect symmetry.
The size and slim profile are spot on. For your reference I have a 6 & 3/4 inch wrist.
I have paired it with a new chocolate brown shell cordovan Rios strap at a cost of £55 that works so well against that hue of vintage yellow gold.
A classic from the world's most famous watch designer Gérald Genta and with a connection to the most iconic martial artist of all time Bruce Lee. Not a bad combo.
The Polerouter remains an underrated option on the vintage market. This reference 20363-3 has the special provenance of having been the model worn by the late great martial arts legend Bruce Lee.
The Polerouter has the prestige of being a Gerald Genta design and the claim as the first micro-rotor movement and a great story associated with the first SAS flights over the north pole, all in a wonderfully executed package.
Running well on the timegrapher with a strong amplitude, no beat error and plus 9 seconds.
